It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I extend a warm welcome to you as the Secretary-General of the 12th annual Nexus International School Model United Nations Conference, NISMUNC 2025. 

 

I am incredibly proud and honoured to lead a Secretariat Team that has worked tirelessly to make this conference possible. Their dedication and passion for creating a meaningful and impactful event have been truly commendable. Together, we have aimed to build an environment that encourages dialogue, fosters collaboration, and challenges the intellect of all delegates.

 

Our theme for this year’s conference, ‘#12andcounting_,’ embodies the spirit of growth, resilience, and the courage to embrace change. It reminds us that every journey begins with a first step—a leap of faith that sparks progress and builds momentum as we learn, adapt, and evolve together. It highlights the power of growth—not only in our individual journeys, as participants, but also in the collective strength of our Secretariat Team, whose collaboration and dedication drive us forward. Together, we are not just marking another year; we are building a legacy of shared learning, mutual support, and unwavering optimism for a brighter tomorrow.

With the introduction of a new uniquely structured Future CRISIS council, the councils we chose in addition to the agendas for this conference have been carefully crafted by the Secretariat Team and Board of Dias to address the most pressing issues of our time. We hope they inspire meaningful debates, foster a deeper understanding of complex global challenges, and encourage you to think critically and creatively. The skills you refine at NISMUNC 2025 will undoubtedly serve you well as you face the challenges of tomorrow.

Beyond the council rooms and debates, our Secretariat Team hopes NISMUNC 2025 offers a unique opportunity for participants to create friendships and cherish unforgettable memories through shared experiences and collaborative moments, even after the conference ends.
